Introduction: What Are Unheated Fragrances?
Today, I’d like to share with you the story of “unheated fragrances,” which the Unheated Fragrance Association has been crafting for the past 12 years.
This new form of fragrance was born almost as if it were a gift from above, created with the conviction that it would be essential for the era to come.
The Difference from Conventional Fragrances: The Problem with Overly Concentrated Scents
Currently, the most common fragrances available fall into two main categories: “essential oils” and “synthetic fragrances.” However, both of these present certain challenges for the modern person’s body and senses.
1. The Problem with Synthetic Fragrances
Synthetic fragrances, which dominate the market, are characterized by their extremely strong scents. Many people have experienced headaches in department store basements or perfume sections. This happens because synthetic fragrances are artificially created with intense aromas that can be harsh on the body.
2. The Problem with Essential Oils (Aromatherapy)
Even natural essential oils require caution. Most commercial essential oils are manufactured through heating and concentration processes. Essential oils extract only a portion of a plant’s fragrance, resulting in concentrations that can be as much as 10,000 times stronger than the original plant.
As a result, some people feel unwell after smelling just a dozen or so different essential oils. The reality is that “natural” doesn’t always mean “safe.”

Having witnessed the impact that concentrated, strong scents can have on the body—and having personally experienced disruptions to our own physical balance—we became convinced of the need for this new type of fragrance.
In the coming era, there will be a growing need for each person’s sensitivity, perception, and authentic self to shine through—for people to radiate their true essence.
Unheated fragrances were created for this future. They are made to be gentle and natural, helping to restore the body’s natural balance while preserving the authentic aroma of plants.
Our Unique Production Method: Honoring the Plant’s Entire Life Force

Unlike conventional extraction techniques, unheated fragrances are created using a distinctive process:
- Plants are not crushed or ground
- They are infused whole whenever possible
- Heating and concentration are avoided
